with a team.
This is a simple roadmap for high-school seniors, new freshmen, transfers, and returning students. You do not need to do it perfectly.
BEFORE CLASSES
Know your numbers.
- Finish FAFSA and confirm your award.
- Know the bill due date and remaining balance.
- Save financial-aid, housing, advising, and counseling contacts.
- Ask about work-study, food support, and emergency funds before an emergency happens.
WEEKS 1–3
Create your people plan.
- Meet an academic advisor.
- Introduce yourself to at least one professor.
- Find tutoring, library, and writing-center hours.
- Join one community: EFF, an organization, faith group, or campus program.
WEEKS 4–8
Protect your enrollment.
- Check grades before problems become final.
- Use office hours or tutoring early.
- Review your budget and upcoming charges.
- Tell someone if you are considering withdrawing or stopping out.
EACH SEMESTER
Choose the next right move.
- Register early.
- Renew financial aid and scholarships.
- Document service, leadership, and work.
- Take one career step: resume, mentor, internship, or job shadow.
